    Community Service Project

    Time: Tuesday, 29 May, 1200-1700
    Location:Colorado Convention Center Room 206
    Register at https://secure3.rhq.com/ireg/public/index.cgi?evid=R18-02-19-PDIX

For the 2018 Community Service Project, we will provide volunteer assistance for Angels of America’s Fallen, the charity chosen for this year’s PDI. This remarkable charity stands by children of America’s fallen military and first responders and honors their fallen parent’s legacy. Volunteers will be treated to videos showing the path and progress of a child’s journey through activities they’ve chosen for themselves. We will then share thoughts with the children by writing “letters of encouragement” to them, letting them know that there are many fellow American’s standing by them to provide support, reassurance, and inspiration to help them through life’s journey. No special writing skills necessary—just follow your heart.

Registration is appreciated, but you may drop in at any time between 1200 and 1700 and volunteer as long as you’d like.

    CDFM Pilot Testing

ASMC is in the process of updating the CDFM exams. To date, subject matter experts have helped us update the exam blueprints, weight the competency areas, review existing exam items (questions), write many new exam items, and finalize pilot exams. We have collected the needed number of Module 1, 2, and 3 pilot exams to move forward with finalizing those exam forms, but we are still short on Module 4 Pilot Exams. We need active CDFM-As to take the Module 4 Pilot Exam and answer a follow-up survey, so we can determine which questions to include on the updated exam!

    Who can participate?
    Active CDFM-As only.

    What can I expect?
The paper-and-pencil Module 4 (Acquisition Business Management) Pilot Exam has 100 multiple-choice items and typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. No study preparation is necessary–we are asking all pilot testers to take the exams cold turkey. To finish the process, complete an emailed post-test survey. Pilot testing has no impact on certification status.

When and where can I test?
No reservations are needed—just show up at the CDFM Table and take the pilot exam when it is convenient for you.

What will I receive in return?
After the emailed post-test survey is completed, you will receive an electronic certificate with 3 CPE/CET. Additionally, you will have the satisfaction of actively supporting ASMC’s Certification Program in keeping the CDFM Module 4 Exam current and relevant.

When will the new exams roll out?
We do not yet have a solid timeline. We are currently updating the textbooks, as well, which will be released before the updated exams. Once a final release date is determined, we will employ social media and email blasts for notification. However, we do not expect to launch the new exams before the National PDI.
