AF 01 Economic Impact Analysis Time: 1400-1450 Maj Aaron Lemke (SAF/FMCE) Military installations increase the economic vitality of their local communities through spending on goods, services and salaries. An Economic Impact Analysis is used to measure the impact an installation has on the local economy. It is an important tool for installation leadership in interactions with civic leaders. This session provides information on updated methods for calculating the economic impact of your installation.

AF 04 Keys to Success in a DEAMS Environment Time: 1400-1450 Mr. JD Lawson (SAF/FMFS) & Mr. Todd Baker (SAF/FMFS) The Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS) is an accounting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, based on the Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS), for the US Air Force as established by the SAF/FM. DEAMS provides accurate and timely financial information using standardized business rules and processes, and complies with existing laws, regulations, and policies. This course will discuss the tools and resources available to users enabling efficiencies while performing day-to-day activities, including DEAMS Operations Center Support, the DEAMS Critical Task List, webinars, and an explanation of self-help tools.

Col Corrothers, Col Kehl and Col Pierce, sitting group commanders, will discuss how financial management training and experience translates to leadership opportunities outside of FM; the skills required to lead a training group, a mission support group, and an air base group; and the rewards and challenges of group command.
