    Question about nominations.
Am I limited to sponsor one person only or can I sponsor multiple people?

Eric,  Not sure where you got the idea you could "sponsor" someone in nominating them, but for our Elsie Steffany Memorial Award, individuals (limited to non-CDFM military or civilian employees of DoD or the US Coast Guard) must nominate themselves by sending their application to the POC for their chapter.  Chapter Presidents were supposed to put word out to the members of their chapter informing them of the POC's name and email address (could be the chapter president him or herself) to which individuals should submit their individual application.  The applications are due to the chapter POC by 31 December. Then the process entails the chapter officers or a committee developed by the chapter president or by someone else (on behalf of the chapter president) evaluating applications received by the chapter and selecting the best application to provide to ASMC HQ NLT 1 February 2019 via our ASMC Awards platform.

Hope this clarifies the process for you.  Feel free to forward me anything that led you to think you could sponsor someone, so I can review it and better figure out how to limit any confusion.  Tomorrow morning, I'll be sending a note to all Chapter Presidents reminding them, if they have not already done so, to get word out to the members of their chapter informing them of the name and email address of the POC to whom eligible members may submit their Elsie Steffany Memorial Award application, again due by 31 Dec.  Al

    Sorry for the misinterpretation.
    Another question.
Do they have to be paying members to apply for the scholarship?
Member in good standing it says.

No problem Eric.  Yep, within professional associations, "in good standing" traditionally means members in a current, "dues paid" status.

BTW, for any of our members viewing this post that have not heard about it, we started monthly random drawings in November of last year among members who renewed early or on time during the previous month, awarding two $50 VISA Gift Cards to two members who renewed on a timely basis for one year and $150 to one of the members who renewed on a timely basis for three years.  We've been doing that monthly nor for the past 12 months, but despite us mentioning the random drawings and winners in monthly membership updates, etc, I still hear of some members who do not know that we conduct the monthly drawings.  Members need not do anything, except renew their membership early or on time, to be included in the random drawings.
