The Update

The February 2023 issue of The Update is hot off the press! Our current Executive Board is already starting to look for qualifying nominees for the 2023-2024 Chapter year. This is a great way to improve your leadership skills, promote and prioritize professional development activities, and strengthen the Buckeye Chapter as a whole. We can’t do what we do without you! Happy Spring!

Volunteer. Do good, feel good.
During times like these, it can be easy to lose your connection with others.  Volunteering not only helps the people you serve, but can also help you feel connected your community!

Service performed outside of ASMC can earn points for the Chapter toward our prestigious 5-Star Status!  Our award year is just getting underway, so keep track of your community contributions and be sure to talk to the Awards and Competition Chair/CoChair to see what your achievements could mean for the Chapter!

USO Canteen

If you're interested in supporting our troops by serving snacks, coffee, water and engaging them in conversation, please reach out to Terri Hilton @ Terri.L.Hilton.civ@mail.mil  or text 614-579-5547. (If you have a teenager needing community service, they are welcome to come help - just make sure you are with them.)

For those unable or not sure about volunteering, but still want to support, we can always use individual pre-packaged snacks: chips, muffins, cookies, peanut butter/cheese crackers, trail mix, peanuts, breakfast bars, snack cakes, Crystal Light (other brands work too) packets for water, etc. Please reach out to Terri to let her know you want to help.
