    Ok first of all nothing is fair in life except death, which we will all face. I have applied for countless jobs and most of the time never hear a reply let alone a interview.  It is all about being in the right place at the right time.  If it is meant to be it will be.  Being a Muslim has zero reason this day in age.  Maybe you were over qualified, underqualified who knows.  I can say for sure that being a good fit for the team is important.  I've conducted numerous interviews and you go with your gut.  Keep grinding and eventually it will pay off.
