My favorite thing about being CDFM certified is being recognized as an expert in my field. As opposed to the FM Certification required by all DoD financial managers, the CDFM is a test-based certification with an experience element attached. It sets me apart from other candidates within the Department. I also love being able to connect and network with other financial managers in the industry. I admire ASMC for providing their members with valuable professional development opportunities to help us grow in our careers! Thank you for all you do!

Oh goodness, another single answer prompt when there are many favorite things about being CDFM or CDFM-A certified....
Well, if I have to pick just one favorite thing it would be the fact it gives me, a self-proclaimed "education advocate" (aka nerd), great reason(s) to keep learning since certification comes with a requirement to maintain my continuous learning credit/hours/points. That said, I liked opting for a variety of ways to maintain the certification like writing, taking courses, attending conferences (PDI, *wink wink*), on-the-job-training, webinars, and more.

Atop the list of the many 'things' I enjoy having achieved CDFM certification are: instant credibility, continuous learning and networking.
