Many thanks to the Honorable Robert M. Speer for serving as our first distinguished speaker for our ASMC - "All Things Financial Management" podcast series, sponsored by Guidehouse and moderated by Mr Tom Rhoads. Both Hon Speer and Mr. Rhoads did a terrific job with this inaugural podcast. If you have not previously taken the time to listen to this first podcast, I highly encourage you to do so at your earliest opportunity. Based upon Mr. Speer's experience throughout his career and his dedicated service in high level, challenging positions, including Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management and Comptroller) and Acting Secretary of the Army, his insights regarding the value that defense financial management contributes to our nation's security, the state of our profession, and the opportunities ahead are essential for all members of not only ASMC, but the entire defense financial management community to hear. It will only take about 14 minutes of your time and you will be really glad you participated in it. Once you have listened to the podcast, please provide your thoughts, feedback, and questions about the content via our Engage membership collaboration platform. Our investment in Engage was primarily for this purpose; i.e., providing thought leadership, sharing best practices, and presenting information that enables continuing growth in the professional development of the defense FM workforce.

Stay tuned for other podcasts and great speakers in this monthly series presented by ASMC and Guidehouse, and also provide your thought and comments regarding subject areas that would be of interest to you.
