    Hello ASMC Members!

My name is Cynthia Henley, and I am a new member to ASMC.  I am joining the Alamo City Chapter here in San Antonio, Texas!

    A little about me:

I spent about 8 years as an active duty United States Marine straight out of high school.  During my active duty days I was a truck driver and then did a special duty for three years as a Marine Security Guard overseas at three different embassies.  After my honorable discharge, I went back home to my stomping grounds in San Angelo, Texas where I completed my undergraduate studies and also started my civil service career as a Budget Technician at Goodfellow AFB.  Shortly after graduating, I applied to and was offered a training position in Warner Robins, Georgia as a FM Palace Acquire.  I worked with two great units while in Georgia (Automatic Test Systems [AFLCMC/WNA] and F-15 SPO [AFLCMC/WWQ]), but being so far away from home, family, and friends as a civilian was much harder than my active duty days so I requested to be transferred back to Texas.  The Lord blessed me with a great supervisor and CFT that was able to honor my request and I was soon transferred to my current unit to complete my training program with the Human Resources Systems Division [AFLCMC/HIH] here at Randolph AFB.

My new supervisor, Ms. Jackie Paugh, is the one that encouraged me to get involved with ASMC so, after years of contemplating joining this organization, here I am!  I look forward to meeting and networking with many of you.

    Semper Fi,
    Cynthia
